Join Port Velo for five nights in Bilbao and four days riding through the Basque Country. Expect quiet roads, dramatic coastline, rolling countryside, exceptional food and sociable riding.

This is not a training camp. It is a hosted cycling holiday for regular riders who enjoy seeing a region properly, riding at a sensible pace and finishing the day with good food, good company and stories from the road.

Booking Information

A £100 deposit secures your place on the trip. Places are limited to 20 riders and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The remaining balance is due by 7 August 2026.

Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive further trip information and an invitation to the rider WhatsApp group.

We strongly recommend arranging suitable travel insurance from the point of booking.

Cancellation Policy

Deposit Refunds

• Fully refundable for 14 days following booking.
• After 14 days, the deposit becomes non-refundable.

Guest Cancellation

• More than 60 days before departure: deposit forfeited only.
• Between 31 and 60 days before departure: 50% of monies paid forfeited.
• 30 days or less before departure: no refund available.

Where a cancelled place can be resold, Port Velo may offer a partial or full refund at its discretion.

Trip Cancellation

Should Port Velo cancel the trip for any reason, all monies paid directly to Port Velo will be refunded in full.

How fit do I need to be?

This trip is aimed at regular cyclists who ride consistently and are comfortable spending several hours in the saddle over consecutive days. It is not a beginner’s trip, but equally it is not a training camp.

What sort of distances should I expect?

Daily rides will typically range between approximately 60–100km depending on terrain, weather and group preferences.

Can I travel on my own?

Absolutely. Many riders join trips on their own and quickly become part of the group.

Do I need to bring my own bike?

Most guests bring their own bike, although bike hire options may be available on request.

Are airport transfers included?

Yes. Airport transfers between Bilbao Airport and Hotel Puerta de Bilbao are included for riders arriving and departing on the main trip dates.

Is there a WhatsApp group?

Yes. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll be invited to the trip WhatsApp group where updates, travel information and ride details will be shared.

When is the balance due?

The remaining balance is due by 7 August 2026.
